Primroses

Primroses

Hello from the Primrose class. We are busy learning all about the signs of spring. We are enjoying. Spring poems and we are singing songs of spring during circle time. We have been taking nature walks to see the wonderful change that spring brings, such as beautiful daffodils and newborn lambs. We got very creative with paint and bun cases to make our own daffodils and they turned out so wonderful. We are also hoping to have a lamb visit the Primrose class in the next few weeks. We are learning all about friendships and how wonderful they are. We are reading and enjoying reading different stories about friendships. We are learning to accept that everyone is different, embracing their own differences, and to always support our friends. We have fun in drama playing the different roles from different stories and rhymes and practicing our own dance moves. We made pancakes in our cookery class. We enjoyed a pancake party for Pancake Tuesday. Sugar and butter were our favourite toppings to add to our delicious pancakes. We also had fun learning about St. Brigid’s day and Rosemary our SNA showed us how to make St. Brigid’s crosses.

We also made beautiful Valentines crafts such as Valentines cards for our loved ones, as well as making tasty treats. We are very artistic and have made prints using our fingers and our hands and feet. We are developing our Language and Communication skills by using Lámh signs and our PECS throughout the day, especially in circle time. We are also enjoying pre-writing and colouring activities. We love maths in the Primrose class are doing so well with our classifying, matching, comparing, and ordering activities. We are super at using our problem-solving skills.

We are delighted to have our P.E. sessions with Damien from Westmeath Sports. Where we do so some many fun activities. These include an obstacle courses and fun games with bean bags and hoops. We are a sporty class and are so excited to be starting back swimming.

We look forward to planting flowers and learning more about spring, St Patrick’s day and so much more in the Primrose class. Come back soon to hear all about the fun we get up to in 😊
