We have had a very busy and exciting time in the Daisy class since Halloween. The boys and girls have been taking part in lots of festive and seasonal activities, and everyone has been enjoying the build-up to Christmas.
In the kitchen, the students had great fun making gingerbread men. They loved mixing the ingredients, rolling out the dough, and decorating their gingerbread with icing and colourful sprinkles. The smells of ginger and spice filled the room and created a lovely festive atmosphere.
One of the highlights of this term was a special visit from the Army Band. The children were amazed by the instruments and the lively Christmas music. They danced, clapped, and moved along with the rhythm, and their excitement was wonderful to see. To make the day even more magical, Santa came to visit, and the boys and girls were thrilled to meet him.
The students have also enjoyed creating and painting their own Christmas decorations. They explored different textures, colours, and materials, and produced beautiful pieces that they were very proud of.
Music sessions with Niamh have continued to be a favourite part of the week, with lots of singing, dancing, and sensory music activities. The children have also been taking part in lovely art sessions with Kerry, where they have been experimenting with different techniques and creating fantastic seasonal artwork.
It has been a joyful and creative term, full of fun, laughter, and festive spirit. We look forward to more exciting learning and activities in the new year!
