The Daffodil Class
Hello and welcome back to another update from the Daffodil Class!
We have been very busy in the Daffodil class since returning from our
Christmas holidays.
Spring has sprung in the Daffodil class! We said goodbye to Winter and hello to
Spring! We planted some daffodils after our Christmas holidays, and we are
delighted to see the flowers starting to bloom now that it is springtime! We
have been learning all about the season of Spring. We have read lovely Spring
poems and we are singing Spring songs during circle time. We look forward to
going on lots of lovely Spring walks when the weather picks up!
We have had lots of fun with music, drama and art class so far! In Drama, we
read and acted out our sensory story ‘The Gruffalo’. We had great fun watching
the girls act!!!
In Art, we have been making lots of things, it has been very hands-on. We
created beautiful Spring and Valentine’s crafts and now shortly we will be
starting our St. Patricks Day Crafts.
In Maths, we have been working very hard learning about our numbers, patterns,
shapes, classifying and sorting, time, and colours. Our colour of the month was
Orange, we enjoyed listening to our orange colour song and looking in the orange
colour bag daily. We love colour of the month activities.
We have started P.E. with Damien from Westmeath Sports in school on a weekly
basis and shortly we will be starting back swimming. We have great fun!
We are looking forward to more exciting learning and fun this term.
Come back soon for another update from the Daffodil Class!
