THE LILY CLASS
Welcome to the Lily class, since coming back to school we have been kept very busy, not only did we move into our beautiful new classroom but we also got 2 lovely new students called Kyannah and Abbie who have settled in perfectly and become part of the gang.
On our return we wasted no time and got straight into the work. We have done some beautiful Autumn art including painting a hedgehog, a pumpkin and designing some very seasonal autumn trees. We thoroughly enjoy sensory play and relaxing in the sensory room. We enjoyed creating marble leaf painting.
John and Bryan competed in the gymnastics Special Olympics qualifiers in Galway on Sunday 9th October. Both athletes won Gold and Silver in the vault and floor competition. We are very proud of them.
We went out for our Autumn nature walk on the track and around the sports centre, we spotted lots of leaves which had fallen and loads of Autumn colour. We took some photos and gathered some leaves to use for more art projects.
We have been very busy in class too covering English, Maths, S.P.H.E, S.E.S.E, Art and P.E along with our favourite time of the week which is Baking with Bernie every Wednesday. We have baked Buns, Bakewell tarts and Apple slices so far which have all been yummy.
We celebrated John’s birthday with a party in class with all his friends, there was cake and lots of gorgeous treats, everyone had a great time.
That’s all for now but we look forward to completing lots more work and having loads more fun over the coming months.
