Lilies

Lilies

Welcome back to the Lily class. We said goodbye to four of our boys from last year but are delighted to welcome four new boys to our class this year. We had a fantastic summer and thoroughly enjoyed the holidays. We are happy to be back in our class for the new term.

We are all working on our Junior Cert Level 1 in Communication and Language, Mathematics, Being part of the community, PE, personal care and wellbeing and the arts.

Since our return we have been very busy. Our theme for the month is My school and myself. In SPHE we have we have explored our talents, hobbies we enjoy and the senses.

In SESE we enjoyed learning about Autumn. We enjoyed leaf rubbing and leaf marbling in Art. We have enjoyed some lovely walks on the cycle track and visited the sensory garden also.

We are a very active class and love PE in the hall every Wednesday with Damien from Westmeath sports partnership. We also resumed our visits to TUS for activities on a Monday afternoon. This is a lovely outing for the whole class. We go out to play in the yard every day at break or lunch which is fun for everyone.

Music makes us all very happy in class and we love listening to music, dancing, and playing percussion instruments. We enjoy baking with Bernie every Wednesday morning and thoroughly enjoy mixing the ingredients. We have made lemon drizzle buns, raspberry Bakewell slices, chocolate brownies and many other delicious treats.

We are looking forward to Halloween and a busy term ahead.
