We’ve had a lovely start to the new school year in the Sunflower Class! Since coming back in September, everyone has settled in so well, and we’ve been busy with lots of fun, hands-on activities.
Our themes so far have been Back to School and Autumn and Halloween, and we’ve really enjoyed exploring these through art, cooking, and sensory play. We made colourful fork-painted hedgehogs, painted autumn leaves, and explored different textures in our autumn sensory trays. We even did some baking in the kitchen, making a delicious apple and custard cake that smelled amazing!
We’ve been taking part in TACPAC, which everyone enjoys, and we’ve had plenty of movement and fun during our PE sessions in the hall and TUS sports visits on Mondays. Some of our class were lucky to go to the Dean Crowe Hall to see the ACC’s Musical, “Mamma Mia”.
Circle time is one of our favourite parts of the day. We sing songs, look at our Lámh sign of the week, and chat about the season, weather, and colours.
It’s been a fantastic start to the year, and we’re so proud of how well everyone is engaging and having fun together. We can’t wait to see what the next few weeks bring!
